Summerhayes Park not yet platted.
Back in the territorial era, Martha Summerhayes traveled throughout the Western frontier, going wherever the military sent her husband, Lt. John Wyer Summerhayes. Their journeys led them to the Show Low area, and Martha wrote of her experiences in a journal titled “Vanishing Arizona”—a book still in print today. The Show Low Bluff neighborhood named for her is situated on the southern edge of the property. The gentle slope of the land provides gorgeous vistas of Sitgreaves National Forest. And the choice of homesites throughout the neighborhood offer beautiful settings for a White Mountains retreat. Continuing the legacy of Martha Summerhayes.
